SKT International College is well known for its continued participation in national and international competitions in math, science, and social studies. Since 2006 our school has consistently brought back medals from these competitions. These achievements are the fruits of various coaching programs held in school in a sustainable and serious manner. In our school, we have an Olympiad department which consists of talented and experienced teachers who train students after school hours and on weekends.
SKT International College is very serious in conducting Olympiad coaching, this is because the Olympiads is one of the tools in education that must be addressed wisely. The Olympiads are more than a competition. They enhance an environment that helps students to continuously develop themselves. They can compete with their peers in the international arena and try their strengths. These competitions offer a unique opportunity for the students to make friends from various countries, to study the subject in-depth, learn how to approach, analyze and solve problems, collect and organize data. Therefore, the study of Olympiads or project competitions requires the attainment of quality standards and disciplined work.
In our school, being a member of the Olympiad Team is the right of all students. Recruitment of members is done openly at the beginning of each school year.
Olympiads require intensive studies. Selected participants should be ready to sacrifice their time and are expected to give priority to their Olympiad or project studies under any circumstances. The students are required to cancel their holidays when requested. They must attend the classes during or after school, at weekends, or on holidays.
Features of Olympiad students
1. Being successful in the related subject or being interested in that specific competition topic.
2. Has high skills of character
3. Have strong skills in the English language.
4. Has self-confidence and persuasive skills
5. Must be presentable
